NWO is the national research council of the Netherlands that funds thousands of top researchers at universities and institutes. By means of subsidies and research programmes, they promotes quality and innovation in science.
The new identity's recognisability had to go beyond a logo and reflect the forward thinking of the organisation. Using the concept of language as the base code of the truth discovery, we designed a strong visual system, adaptable across all flagship items, that would be able to tell NWO's story now and in the future, in the most innovative and bold way. This project was finally not selected.
